About the Director
Tom Ruddock is a filmmaker born and raised in London. He has always loved stories, hearing them and telling them, which lead him to study film and to then set up his company Story Culture with his good friend Pete Bailey. www.storyculture.co.uk
His first Short film ‘Unspoken’ (A Story Culture and Together Pictures production) was a film made for a 48 hour competition. Which won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress and was screened at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood LA in September 2014.
'Hello, Again' has now been selected for seven different film festivals. Plus being BAFTA longlisted in 2015 and Winning Best Film at the East Anglian Shorts Showcase for Colchester Film Festival. 'Hello, Again' had it's UK Premier at the London Short Film Festival in 2015 and it's US premier in Newport Beach Film Festival in Calfornia.
It was also selected in the Cannes short film corner as well as being a finalist in the USA film festival and now recently, Colchester Film Fest, Crystal Palace Film Festival in London and Hollyshorts film festival where it screened at the Chinese Theatres on Hollywood Blv.
Tom has also just finished writing his first feature length script which is the full story of 'Hello, Again' and this is now in development.
In addition to this; Tom has now finished his latest short film. 'Runaway' Which Firstly having it's world premier at Austin Film Festival in Texas. After a successful festival run, It is now available online, and staff picked by Vimeo on first day of release.
